I attended a charity event held at the Enchanted Kingdom last December 13, 2009. They call it “Believe and Be Enchanted”. Kids from various unprivileged families were there and we were like the “mommies” and “daddies” for that day. Dennise is that name of the 5 year-old kid I took care of. She’s nice by the way, and pretty too.
This amusement park never fails to “amuse” us. It was really fascinating to see these kids, who, maybe, don’t have enough money, had a really fun time seeing entertainers up the stage, and enjoying the rides with smiles on their faces.
I know that it’s hard to believe that I took care of kid knowing that I hate naughty children especially those who are really restless. But surely, I did enjoy the time that I was with my alaga. I don’t know how to explain it but that 5 year-old kid really knows how to take care of herself without chaperon. She’s mature unlike any others kids. She changes her clothes without me helping; she drank water all by herself; and the fact that she carries her heavy bag without complaint.
These simple things bring joy to other disadvantaged people. At least, we get to help them with our own little way of sharing happiness.
