Using drugs at 16

I heard a story from a 16 year old girl over the radio this morning. She said that she earned 30,000 Php money and spent it like dusts flying everywhere. The DJ’s wished she didn’t use it for drugs… but she did. They were so shocked (and so am I). They were trying to convince her to stop taking drug and live life seriously and thankfully. And then *bleep bleep*…

I felt like she ignored it or maybe she’s thinking of her own. I know she’s sharing the same story like what most teenagers do – spending money for drugs. She is so young and there are more years for her. She’s 16. Very young. Still has something to offer. You take drugs and that won’t let you leave your problems. Sure you can forget your problems when you take it and feel like high for a moment… and then it stops. Drugs can’t take you to the following years, right? So why use it and waste life you don’t even own? You are still learning to love every single thing and now you’re throwing everything away. There are people who have 3 or more jobs to earn as much as you have, just to have something on their table and live for another day. A lot of people are living across the streets waiting for alms to satisfy their hunger. Many patients are dying and praying that He’ll give them a chance to live for a year or two. Same as, there are people who love you and still waiting for you not to ignore the love they’re giving. You think that’s fair? You see, 10, 15, 20 years from now, you’ll realize that what have happened on your age today, is just nothing. I say, girl, love what you have right now. See a mirror and be thankful that you can still see yourself… standing tall and still breathing. Be happy [= xxx
