Candy Fair '08

I can still remember what have happened last Candy Fair 2007 at the NBC Tent, The Fort. It was a night to recall. Now, the Candy Fair 2008 was another night to dredge up. I don’t want to share every single detail we have encountered before and after the most awaited event for every Candy girls like us for it will be a whole page of this site for you to read. HEHE:)

Events and gigs have started to pour day by day. And for September, Summit Media Magazine has something to offer for most teenage girls. Candy Magazine published another September ALL Boys issue, meaning, aside from alluring models, celebrity and regular boys, there will be a total of 100 Candy Cuties inside the issue in which voters will put them on top of the list. Enough for the “convincing” tally, Sam Concepcion still bagged the number 1 spot, in line with AJ Perez and Dino Imperial.

CANDY FAIR 2008
October 4, 2008, A. Venue Hall, Makati

I was with my two lovely friends namely, Shermz and Laisa (whom I was with last C.Fair). We went to Laisa’s crib and hurriedly prepared ourselves for the event. Suddenly, rain poured hardly that even my neatly combed hair became so wet to the point that I could squeeze it. We waited in the shed for a couple of minutes until a taxi eventually stopped by. We showed the map we had to the driver. He said that we’ll go another way because of the heavy flood surrounding Makati and that his tires were flattened by some shits. “That” drop-dead-shit fooled us! Three words Mr. Driver, GO TO HELL! We waited AGAIN for another taxi and this time, he knew where we’re heading. At last, A. VENUE HALL. :) Wet shoes, wet pants, wet top, and wet hair – nice, bad to go! (*ehem, Mr. Janitor, girl’s room is full, can we use the men’s comfort room? Just to prep up! Please:) Thank you! ) Aww, new venue huh. Last year’s much better, but this was also good and a wonderful setting.

We’re still recovering from the disaster we had outside and we didn’t even know where to start so we stroll a little bit. BAZAAR, FOOD STALLS, COOL BOOTHS and LOTS OF CUTIES! *geez! A place to be! HAHA* There, we took pictures of every cuties. We even saw some celebrities and models. An hour and a half passed and we headed to the front stage and waited for like 30 minutes until band performances started. Lia Cruz and Eri Neeman hosted the first part and introduced the Candy Staffs/Councils and the Candy Cuties. Patty Laurel and Atom Araullo took the second part and introduced the much awaited portion of the fair, the “mini” concert. With not-so-good sound system, artists still managed to deliver their songs well. Bands like NYCTINASTY, HANSOM, BLOOMFIELDS, URBANDUB, SANDWICH, CHICOSCI, SAM CONCEPCION, SPONGE COLA and the best band who performed HALE <3<3<3!>I thought HALE will perform before Chicosci and I was trying to induce myself that HALE will perform before the night ends. So there, with my powerful prayers, I saw Ate Anna posting the songs Hale will be playing. Before Hale came out, two of the MYX VJ Search Finalists were there, of course, ERIKA and CHINO. We were exactly at the front and I was like shouting at the top of my lungs – “GO CHINO! GO ERIKA!” They were so nice and no doubt that these two people will go far aside from MYX. The other 7 bands played 3 songs while HALE played 4 songs (Over & Over, Leap of Faith, Kahit Pa and Pitong Araw). Hyper si Champ, super! HAHA. With all the strange things, HALE made my day!

For a while, before going back to Laisa’s home, we cursed our feet from walking the streets of Makati trying to find Bars and Restos we ought to set eyes on like Capones (which was currently transferred to The Fort) and Saguijo. Laisa was trying to convince us to stop and go home but me and Shermz were still trying to make fun of her. *bad! HAHA* It was past 12am when we arrived home safely. We had so many hangovers about what have happened and we couldn’t stop ourselves from laughing, storytelling and texting. The morning sunshine was just around the clock, we had to stop and rest.

Wonderin’ why I utter so much about HALE, well, I missed them and they’re one of the reasons why I was there:) *goodies!*
