Star City!!!

February 24, 2008 was the highlight of our 2nd year as a Psychology major in PUP. For all of us, we knew that it will be the most exciting and remarkable day on our 2nd semester. One of the possible ways to make a person in high spirit is to take him or her to a place wherein he or she could experience a whole lot of fun and enjoyment.

Star City, being one the well-known amusement parks in the country, delighted us through its thrilling yet amazing rides plus not to mention the highly spirited people walking and having fun. From parents giving extra money to travel alone to being with happy friends, well, what more can I ask for?

One first thing that got excited is because it was my first time to go to Star City, plus, without parents. The moment we got to the venue, we entered the theater then we watched Ballet Manila Presents: “Le Corsair” at the Star Theater. Gorgeous ladies and fine-looking guys in their presentable and colorful costumes of pirates amazed the audience. The prima ballerinas were so lovely in their tu-tu skirts. They danced their heart out with smiles on their faces and blissful performances. Male ballet dancers were so endearing wearing cute pirate costumes and good acting moves. I even noticed the girl, as one of the main casts, having an appealing look that brought the audience a different clap. The show started around 1:20 pm and lasted around 3:00 pm. The professional ballerinas had a round of applause form all of us being their inspirations.

I got excited powerfully when we got our VIP tickets. I thought we’re not going to enjoy the rides after the rain poured for a couple of minutes. But then, I think almost all of us prayed deeply to let the rain stop, and it did.

We rode exhilarating rides from the inside like The Blizzard, the Bumper Cars, and the Haunted Houses. We were supposed to ride the Flying Carpet at first but surprisingly, they encountered a technical problem, so for our safety we proceed to the rides from the outside. We rode the Wild River. Good thing I brought my jacket and it saved me from the water crushing in but it didn’t protect me from the wet seats. Afterwards, we rode the-very-dizzy-ride, the Surf Dance. Then again, before we experienced it, they encountered another technical problem and after a few minutes, the dizzying round happened.

I was also excited when I saw the ride Star Fly, if I’m not mistaken. My knees were shaking when we finally realized that it was our time to ride-in. I was really hoping that nothing will happen or else, goodbye world. That ride happens to be the most electrifying, captivating and exciting of all rides there. When we hoped in, we screamed at the topmost of our lungs especially the when the circular path goes on. And after a minute or less, it’s finally over and I just can’t believe I survived that ride. To be exaggerated, thank God my heart didn’t popped out from my mouth. After experiencing those rides, we were able to ride the Flying Carpet. It was shocking. Rounds and rounds of motion up and down for a couple of minutes, it really made us scream loudly.

After all those rides, we ate our dinner because we were really hungry and thirsty. Well who won’t get thirsty when you shout or scream very loud? There are also rides for kids. Hey, we never let chances surpassed us, so we rode those kiddie rides like Little Mermaid and Peter Pan. We took pictures inside those floating rides.

Around 9:00 pm, we decided to go home since I live way to far from Pasay. I commuted with my friends and around 11:00 pm, I’m at home safely.

I won’t forget that day of my life. My first entry up to the last step I was at the Star City.
