Somebody asked me on Formspring about how I save money. Here’s how I do it.
My parents’ usually give my allowance every week and it is sufficient enough for 5 whole days. Ahead of time, I manage to think how much money I should spend for a day, but it still depends if I have fees to compensate.
If I have to buy something for school, I spend from my savings. But if it’s too expensive, I ask from my parents’, usually half the price. 50-50. I also weigh choices (most important thing). Which is more important? This or that? But sometimes, I get really really impulsive like I buy it without my parents’ approval and that I can no longer think if I will still need it [in the future, maybe]. <- this you don't want to do, right? So you always have to weigh things in your hands and seek for some advices. :))
My friend gave me an idea that on saving money, you should bring enough amount on your wallet to avoid spending too much. In that way, you can control yourself from being impulsive [and socializing too much]. *-*
Now, since it’s vacation and I will be graduating on May, my parents’ are no longer giving me allowances. A couple of money when I go to school is our deal. I could only care less since I don’t spend that much on school papers and projects anymore. And because of boredom, we go to the mall and I see lots of stuffs I want to buy, making my savings slowly vanishing. I can’t deal with that anymore, I just need to graduate, and have a job to save more moolah! :'>
