5 hours and 40 minutes left and it’s Christmas time. I received a text message hours ago. A dialogue a true Christian could ever realize that it actually makes sense.
Jesus: “Santa, selos ako sa’yo…”
Santa: “Huh? Bakit ka naman nagse-selos?”
Jesus: “Kasi ikaw ang mas inaabangan ng mga tao sa birthday ko eh…”
For Christians, this season is to celebrate the birth of Christ that is why it is called “Christmas”. But we linger to all the material things our loved ones have to offer – clothes, toys, candies, food and money. Some become conscious that we should be giving what we can instead of receiving what they have. Celebrating the most important day out of 365 days in a year is like being naïve to all the things that makes us all human. We are no longer innocent to all the strange things around. So instead of waiting, we should be effectively share our own happiness to the others and make the season be worthwhile.
