Visual Arts Exhibit

The Visual Arts Group in our Humanities class conducted an exhibit entitled “Halo-Halo: Infusion of Mediums and Modern Expressionism” held at the Recreational Hall, Ninoy Aquino Learning and Resources Center, PUP, last January 30, 2008

The results of the hard works of the members drew near the targeted date of the exhibit. Time has come and everyone was still agitated about the venue we’ve been working for a couple of days. We spent a couple of hours covering the entire back windows of the venue. In assistance of 6 girls and 4 boys casing the sides where the light will strike through, we got worn-out and upset about the word cooperation.

Days gone by and we’re on. Waking up early to catch up the store where I bought the black garbage bags we’ve been using is never easy. As in waiting for the store to open and then went to school to patch other things up. Weary! But I never got worried that much because I knew that the other members were busy preparing for their own stuffs.

Ribbon-cutting was done by our professor with the guests artists.

Our Professor was happy about the result. He even cried seeing some of his students carrying the large sculptures and walking and perspiring along Teresa. Teary-eyed while driving. HAHA. The guests like Mrs. (I forgot her name) from the Sculptures group and Mr. Ray Z & Mr. Zeus B for the Paintings group were also delighted. For the Architecture group, it was fine but we lack of time searching for architectural designs. Hey, it was never easy to find stuffs ‘coz you know that “designs” made by the artists are so precious and priceless. Blue Prints, houses of different generations in different parts of the country, architectural designs in the Philippines and the PUP Gym were scattered there mostly done by Floyd Camposano with his hands (with our help of course HAHA pa-build-up lang tsk).

Intermission numbers were prepared by the Music, Dance and Literature group. A big round of applause for the Dance and Music group for their wonderful dance performance. Also hands down to Mr. Jimmy Bombonga for his award-winning deliberation of a declamation piece. A Quiz Bee was also conducted by Kaye (me) and Ding. We’re not properly prepared for it actually but we tried our very best to outdo the portion. HAHA. Ariane San Juan won the first place, Iries Bunao won the second place and Princess Pay won the third place. Pictures, Pictures, Pictures with our professor and the artists. Pack-up after. Tsk. Good job guys.

Anyway, I would like to invite everyone to watch the next group, the Literature Group, performing a play entitled “Fourteen” at the Recto Hall, PUP, this February and on March, the Music and Dance Group. See you there!:)
