Psychology Week '08

The day has finally unlocked its door for the much anticipated Psychology Week 2008. PUPPSA organized the said event and they were terrific about making the event clean and successful.

Parade with each section outfitted the different festivals in the country started the program for the whole week. Some of it were the Aswang Festival, Mangga Festival, Santa Cruzan, Higantes Festival, Retro Festival (which I don’t know where they got it! *boo!) and the Pintados Festival (2 sections did this festival and we’re one of those). Sun was rising so hot which got my body covered with sweat. The opening was held at the Amphi theater last February 4, 2008.

Next in line on the same day is the announcement of the candidates for the Mr. & Ms. Psychology 2008. Our representatives are John Orland Baluyot for Mr. Psychology and Laisa Erika Fajarito for Ms. Psychology. Some candidates were nice-looking wherein some are what we usually say “ok lang!” (you know what that means *LOL). Good luck to the both of you and may you win the title.

After making the entrants make known to the whole department,
the Dance Guild held by Floyd Camposano turned its contestants groove to the beat of “Soulja Boy”. The following game is called “Kakasa ka ba kay Prof.?”. Students from different levels competed and answered different questions related to Psychology. The remaining three (my classmate Hazelene got in) will stand the pace with the three knowledgeable Psychology professors. As usual, the oh-so-clever-and-smart professors won the game but the three competitors will be the representative in a contestant outside the school.

We also waited for the first ever Dance Idol of the Psychology Department, which started almost late (around 6pm). Laira Varilla and Jimmy Bombonga were the hosts of the said event. Bryan Aquilino joined the battle and astoundingly, he got in for the final 10. So good luck Bryan!

I almost got home around 9 in the evening without mentioning that we will have the exam in Humanities the next day. We were so shattered and sleepy but we still have to study. I didn’t study hard because I’m so sleepy so I just slept, and for the next day, I’m late! *boo!
