Another project of the Psychology Students Association is the battle of "beauty and brains" of the psychology students of PUP. For a couple of years, representatives of different year levels and sections struggle for the title, Mr. & Ms. Psychology 2008.
Our representatives were John Orland Baluyot and Laisa Erika Fajarito, BSCP II-1.
Atoy (john) is a clever student and he is known for her "L" words. He also loves singing as a matter of fact he and some of his friends won the Psychoustic 07. For dancing this guy leaves the floor shaking. He is a member of the CA PepSquad.
Laisa is considered one of the topnotcher in our class. Beauty and Brains as what our professor in Humanities said. She participates well, she can sing and dance, plus, a real fashonista in the making.
Last February 12, 2008, the candidates showcased their talents at the Pre Pageant. John sung a song with guitarist Stephen. Laisa sung "sometimes" and surprised everyone when she danced in the tune of "clumsy". All the candidates made their moves and grooves with their unstoppable performances.
February 22, 2008, the Finals. They opened the pageant with the style outfitted the costumes of Las Vegas plus the reigning Mr. & Ms. Psychology '07 Nap and Joan. They also wore the cute clothes from sponsor Sugarfree and Blue. After that, they wore gowns form the creators. Different awards were given to some candidates but unluckily, our two representatives didn't get the chance to get one. It's ok 'cause Laisa was among the top 5 of the pageant.
Questions were asked to the final 5 boys and girls. Maturely thinking, some were really and obviously nervous, well doesn't right? All were tensioned and after few minutes, they announced the winners. Laisa didn't won either. She's the 3rd runner up for the Ms. Psychology.Well I would like to congratulate everyone who got into the pageant and good luck to the next battle, the Mr. & Ms. PsycheFed Ambassador '08.
