Supposedly, I am going to deliver a declamation piece this Monday, but because the government made it a "holiday", it has been moved to Thursday. After 4-6 days of deferment, I have no choice but to memorize and learn by heart my piece - Desiderata by Max Erhmann. All the same, we have 3 pieces to choose from - "If" by Rudyard Kipling, "I demand death" and of course "Desiderata".
No wonder that these 3 pieces were written by heart of the noble writers of the early centuries. To brood over delivering the piece, I looked for different suggestions and opinions from different speechmakers.
I finished memorizing Desiderata in one, ,just one, day. Night time to be exact. I have strong guts in withholding the words. Uncomplicated yet prolonged. Stress-free and not laborous. *oooooohhhh*
Anyway, wish me luck! :)
